Privacy
What we collect when you join the priority list, why, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible
[Full name], [address], [email]. See also the imprint.
What we collect
- Your email address, to put you on the priority list.
- Your answers: what you would use most, your free book (or that you’ll pick it later), the language you want it in, and what you like to read.
- How you found us: the link that brought you here (its topic and language, or a friend’s invitation), the app you opened the page in, the time, and a random visitor and card number.
Why
To keep your spot, to send you one email asking you to confirm your address, and, only after you have confirmed, to write to you about Olden Books and your free book. Your answers help us decide what to build. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
Where it is stored
Your details are stored with Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), which also sends the confirmation email. This page is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA), which briefly processes your IP address to deliver it. Fonts, images and sounds come from our own server, not from third parties.
No cookies, no tracking
We use no cookies and no analytics or advertising trackers. Your browser remembers your progress on this page (local storage) so you can continue later; clearing your browser data removes it.
How long
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data. Sign-ups that are never confirmed are deleted after [30] days.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, to limit its use or to hand it over to you, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Just email [address]. You can also complain to a data protection authority.
